Writer Bio:

Liz Hyder has been making up stories ever since she can remember. She writes for both grown-ups and young adults and is the author of three – soon to be four – novels. Her debut for young adults, Bearmouth, won the Branford Boase Award, the Waterstones Children’s Book Award for Older Readers, and was named The Times Children’s Book of the Year. Her acclaimed debut for grown-up readers, The Gifts, was runner-up of the McKitterick Prize and her latest novel, The Illusions, was published in 2023 to positive reviews. Her second book for young adults, The Twelve, will be published this October. She grew up in London but has lived in Ludlow for well over a decade.
