Fan Fiction
The subject of this year’s Fan Fiction Lab is The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud.
Define Fan Fiction: Fan Fiction is where you take elements from an existing story and write a new story. So you might take existing characters and put them in a whole new world. Or you might invent a new adventure for existing characters in their existing world. You need to write a complete story and explain enough about the characters that someone who hasn’t read the original story can still enjoy it.
Join this European project involving young people from Italy, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Ireland who are also reading the book and writing their own stories. You can upload your story to the www.readon.eu website and once you have registered, you can read others stories, book reviews and get book recommendations too.
