Workshop details:
This workshop is spread across two online sessions, each two hours in duration
Part 1: Wednesday 27th November 2024, 19:00 – 21:00 GMT and
Part 2: Wednesday 4th December 2024, 19:00 – 21:00 GMT
This workshop will cover:
• Understanding the importance of the hook – which is arguably the most important element in any book’s success
• How to craft an elevator pitch that will captivate potential readers
• Using examples of well-known movies and books and applying those lessons to your book
• Crafting a mission statement for your writing
• How to write a blurb that will make your novel fly off the shelves

About the workshop leader:
Mark Edwards has sold 5 million copies of his psychological thrillers, topping the bestseller lists in both the UK and US. He started out self-publishing before moving into traditional publishing, and has been making a living as an author for over a decade. Before becoming a writer, Mark worked as a marketing director.

The workshop will take place online via Zoom. Please download it and check it is working before the day of the workshop.
Please join the Zoom link 15 minutes before the advertised start time to allow you to join and test your audio and video is working as it should.
Please try and be somewhere you can concentrate and won’t be interrupted. Headphones can be useful if you have some, to cut out other noise.
