…The earthquake caught you,
and you ran
you broke your fingernails.
The waters and the stones
all were shaken…
from Valparaíso – Pablo Neruda
A new five-week live, interactive online course, writing our way through this time of continuing uncertainty and change.
In a small group (max 14 people), we’ll take inspiration from poetry and stories from around the world. Themes will include beginnings, change, uncertainty, curiosity and surprise. With writing time on-screen and off-screen, we’ll find connection, reflection and a place to share our work with others.
No prior writing experience is necessary. You can be writing in any genre.
Mandy Ross is a writer, poet, and integrative counsellor. She has written over 60 children’s books as well as plays and work for adults. She brings together her pleasure in writing with a playful approach to exploring and making.
As one half of Secret City Arts, Mandy works with storytellers, musicians, photographers and filmmakers to bring words off the page. She is currently Tree Whisperer in Residence for Ledbury Poetry Festival.
Please note: you must sign up for the full course even if you do not complete the course. No partial course ticket is available.
Online and in-person Short Courses are for over 18s. If you are a young writer, you can sign up for our Spark Young Writers Programme.
